This is what we wake up to in the mornings, can’t say it’s a bad thing to look outside to.  I LOVE IT!!!

We got to this spot on Thursday night, after dark, which is not exactly how I would have liked it to happen, I wanted to wait til the next day…..I really don’t like going over mountain passes at night, especially in a rig this size, 34’ RV and a 16’ trailer….we did great, until the very last of the trip.  It’s a very tight turn onto the road that takes us to the campground from the direction we where going, we had to two point it….in fact at that point it was the hairiest part of the trip.  We made it on the turn, only to get to the camp area and all of a sudden the brake pedal went all the way to the floor.  Not a good feeling at all, we were especially glad it had not done that at the top where we turned, I would not be here today to write this blog…..God was with us for sure!

I was outside the other night as the sun was really setting and had to get a picture of the moon, it just looked awesome with the mountains right beside and under it, again I cant complain about the views.

We never did get the generator working, that is the only complaint I do have, but Terrys old boss in Montrose loaned us a portable one, so we can have coffee in the mornings, and if we are so inclined we can watch a movie, or whatever else.  It’s a wonderful thing to have friends like that.  We are truly blessed in that.

To all my girls that are reading this, I do miss ya, love ya, and wish you were here to see all this amazing stuff, we are far enough from the wildfires that I think we will be fine, but sometimes I think the smoke from the Pagosa Springs fire makes its way here.  Yesterday we were coming back from Montrose and had a scare, we saw so much smoke we thought there was a new fire close to us, but thankfully there doesn’t appear to be one.

I have a few more pictures but need to wait until I get a signal on the phone to be able to email them to myself, so I can download them to my computer….

Did you watch Gold Rush Alaska?  We might get to meet one of the guys from that show today, he is up here and wants to see about mining on a claim that we have rights to.  We shall see….I have visions of a new RV, and getting my teeth fixed, then maybe just maybe, I will let you all see pictures of me…only the shadow knows what will come from this.   Terry has visions of a new Jeep.  I wonder if I can talk him into having 2 Jeeps, it would be nice, but there is no way to fit 2 on the trailer LOL!

I think if all this does come to pass, I will be getting an android phone that will sync to my laptop so I can have a connection where ever I want it, LOL I have several places up the road with free wifi, but it’s a long trip.

I am very pleased that I can still text people, but I have no voice signal with our provider….maybe I will get one of those Verizon prepaid for times like this?  Sounds like a good idea, that way in case of emergency my mom can get ahold of me….she doesn’t text….
