One step Forward

This week we have been getting ready for a yard sale, and boy is it overwhelming!  I never thought it would be so draining....


I am so tired now, we got up at 5 am on Friday just to be sure we had everything ready for the 8 a.m. start time.  The best thing about it was we were ready on time!!!


The city of Fort Worth has an ordinance about garage sales, seems most cities do the same, you have to have a permit, well I made sure we did, but.....you can only have 1 sign and its got to be in your yard....its not good when you live on a very slow street that does not get alot of traffic, which we do.  We did advertise on Craigslist so we got a few people on Friday.


Today started out very very very slow....and stayed that way, I can count on my hand, left or right, and have plenty of fingers left over..the number of people we had stop by.  I decided that for the final sale in a couple weeks, I am going to spend the money for a newspaper ad, but does anyone even read the paper anymore?


I developed a headache and feeling lousy, like the heat was bothering me, so Terry was nice and told me to go take a nap..I feel much better now.


This week we have had an "inversion cap" keeping storms away from us....until last night, rain was not in the forecast, but of course because we had stuff in the yard, a storm decided to rain on us.  The lightening was wonderful though, I do love a light show!
