I have been very lax on my writing lately. Not because I have nothing to say, but well, I have nothing to say.
We spent a nice few weeks in Nebraska, visiting with one of my sons and his girlfriend and her son. I really enjoyed the time there, and I finally got a chance to learn something I have wanted to learn for almost 40 years. I am still learning and will continue to learn to crochet. I have made a few things and its been great, and my granny squares are looking better everyday.
We are now back in North Texas and will be here until the first week in November, we have a wedding to attend, and a dog to take care of.
I need to tell you about our trip back down here, as usual, we can’t seem to make a destination without something happening. We were in a middle of the nowhere place in Oklahoma, just past the Kansas state line, where we stopped to get gas for the RV. We had been hearing a squeal from the engine compartment for a bit, and figured it was the smog pump. At this point in time we found out it was. It seized up and threw the belt. I quickly got on the internet (best $1.99 I spent at a Loves) and saw that it is not something that would keep us off the road. Made a phone call to confirm this information. (Thank goodness we had cell service, that is another story!) So we headed out again, no dollars spent on another repair!
We got to our RV Park here in Garner, Tx. The same one we stayed at in June. Terry was doing a look around and saw a small bubble on one of the steering tires…it has now grown to football size, and we will be replacing it on Tuesday. So once again we got to a place, but its going to cost us something to be able to move again…..such is our life!
I hope our trip to Rockport Tx is uneventful, it would be nice to get somewhere without sweating it!
