Not really, but it sounded funny….On goes our saga, of trial and error, things that we will laugh about in 30 years….but today was not funny.
Our 14 days were about up, we were going to have to head out tomorrow anyway, the tanks were empty or full, depending on what you really needed, we needed fresh water and propane, we were empty on both. We needed to drain the grey and black water tanks, so we decided to leave a day early. We can always go back and stay one night.
Now starts the fun and games, well in 30 years we will laugh. We got everything prepared to move, and the trip is ready to begin…..or is it? Nope, the back levelers wont retract, we checked the fluid and they appeared low, so off to the store in town to get some fluid, after filling the tanks they still wont lift. We finally got them to move by digging under them and manually lifting them. We had to tie them up, but we did get out of the campground.
We got to town and decided to see if the campground had some space for the night, but no luck. We did get the tanks dumped though and that is a good thing. The ONLY place to get propane in town is the dealer, so we went off to see if we could get some, but it was late in the day, with all the other issues we had so of course the propane place was closed, much to our disappointment. We decided to try another campground, but they were full too. We finally found a space in a campground Terry had stayed in a very very long time ago, so we are plugged in, the fridge is cool, we didn’t lose any of the meats, etc., in the fridge!! Tomorrow is a new day and someone up above is looking out for us, that’s for sure! Here is a picture of the evening sky for you to enjoy!!
Terry said someone down that way was playing the bagpipes….that was cool!
